As the busiest UK script consultant & script writer for hire in UK film and TV – I try really hard to keep my website up to date with fresh blogposts as often as I can, and when I initially started this website I would update the blog at least once or twice a week with scriptwriting info and tips and offers and explanations about my own script writer for hire services. I started this website way back in 2014 to see if I could get scriptwriting work online (instead of via a traditional lit agent) and to say the website has been successful would be a huge understatement – I now have so much scriptwriting work coming in, that adding regular weekly or even monthly blogposts is all but impossible – however, when I do get some downtime I’m determined to start again in 2026 and to add more regular blog content (about my work as scriptwriter / director and blogposts offering advice to new screenwriters – advice to new writers is still something I offer despite being inundated with scriptwriting work).
So, this blogpost will act for now as a holding page at the top of the blog – where I’ve put some links into the most asked questions and my most popular services. So, let’s start with new writers looking for help:
So, for new scriptwriters looking for help – a part of my work involves helping and encouraging new scriptwriters with my hugely popular script report service helping new writers get their work into shape – and advising them on the business aspects of scriptwriting as a career (especially in the UK).
Scriptwriting agents – advice for new scriptwriters
Here is – a handy list of all the UK scriptwriting agents – with useful links to their website and submission pages – and some very helpful advice on submitting your work to an agent as a new writer. That blogpost gets literally hundreds of individual views every single day – the competition to get an scriptwriting agent is hugely fierce (so best follow my advice).
Where to submit scripts
My second most popular bit of content is all about where to submit scripts if you live in the UK – this blogpost is hugely popular and covers lots of information – especially about the BBC Writersroom submission process.
Netflix script submissions
This blogpost is very popular too – and it seems a lot of writers want to get their scripts read by Netflix – is it possible? Can you submit a script to Netflix? Read on to find out more…
What do scriptwriters earn? Is it a viable career?
This blogpost gets hundreds of views daily from new writers–– about whether scriptwriting is a viable career – and how much can scriptwriters be expected to earn – all valid questions if you want to be a pro scriptwriter. The info on here is pretty UK specific – but the general advice covers scriptwriting careers the world over.
I also post on reddit a fair bit, trying to help new scriptwriters – here’s a reddit scriptwriting thread that over 100,000 views – where my advice, wasn’t particularly popular – but from that reddit thread I was again, inundated with request for my script report service.
So that’s a list of blogposts designed with info to help new writers – what if you’ve landed on this page and you want to hire a scriptwriter?
SCRIPTWRITER FOR HIRE
I am – a script writer for hire – that is is still my main job – a scriptwriter who ANYONE can hire directly to work on their project – you don’t need to contact an agent or ask permission to speak to me – just email me – and I’ll answer myself. You can hire me for all kind of projects (here’s a few) : film or TV – online content – theatre plays – adverts – training videos (that require dramatic or comedic scripted content) – you can hire to me write short films – TV shows – Feature films – episodic series – you can hire me to write vertical comedy or drama series – animation – shows aimed at children – shows in any language – basically, if a scene is to be performed by an actor, or if your content requires a proper functional narrative – you can hire me (or you can hire me to rewrite, fix or polish all of the above).
I provide scriptwriting services across all platforms and all budgets and you can hire me – to rewrite , to fix, or develop. I can take any script in any genre and break it down, and rebuild it to your set specifications.
For marketing teams, or for digital agencies – I work with you guys all the time – on everything from adverts to internal comms videos or training videos for blue chip clients as well as charities too. I can sort scripts that will WOW your clients. I even once wrote a 10 part feature length comedy drama for a client – which is only ever shown internally. I’ve written a manga type cartoon drama for company in the far east – any sort of scripted drama or comedy I can deliver for agencies or any sort – and for the clients of those agencies.
For TV or film producers looking to hire me:
I’ve worked as a scriptwriter on Emmerdale, Eastenders, Hollyoaks and Family Affairs, which means I can deliver shootable working scripts to tight deadlines, it means I stay the distance through the shoot, it means I can rework, and rewrite at the drop of a hat – it means I’m not sick at sea ever and I deliver great scripts whatever the production circumstances – it means I’m on a speed dial for some producers who need things fixing fast (and know I can deliver).
Part of my level of experience is being asked to rewrite a whole Eastenders episode overnight (after an accident with a cast member) and delivering that script at 5am so the crew would have something to shoot. Being an Emmerdale writer on call meant I needed to rewrite scenes or add new material over the phone – dictated then and there for the actors and director to take this material and shoot – then and there – these are the skills on a real pro scriptwriter can confidently deliver.
I get asked to fix scripts sometimes by other writers – and I get producer calls from all over the world – when something isn’t working I can be trusted to FIX it and FIX IT FAST if needed.
Of course, I also get hired to write scripts on spec – book and short story adaptations – and I’m always in demand for bog standard rewrites on any type of material.
AI VIDEO AND AI GENERATIVE VIDEO SCRIPT
I also get hired more and more to write and direct AI Generative video projects by studios and marketing agencies – I will work with AI generative video producers and directors – and I’ve got a tidy side-line as an AI generative video director for hire – go over to my director website for more details on that or contact me on the email address below. I also run and own a small AI STUDIO generative video studio / Production company for hire – Warehouse Transmedia
So, that’s me and most of my work and services. I’m here to help new writers with their first scripts – right up to experienced producers – who need a quick fix or rewrite done asap. You can all trust me, because I’m a doctor, well a script doctor at least…
So, I’ll leave this page pinned – but I promise in 2026 to start blogging more.
