Script writer for hire UK – disrupting how screenwriters are hired

As a leading scriptwriter for hire and UK script consultant I can honestly say that I’ve never been busier, despite the pandemic halting a lot of film and TV production I’ve found myself inundated with requests for script coverage and script reports – I’ve also had a huge amount of rewrite work, as well as a few decent feature film commissions.

I think the WORD is OUT in various parts of the UK and US film and TV business. You can hire me to fix, rewrite or commission me to work from scratch and I deliver high quality, super creative scripts that pop.

Work from this website is at the point now where I’m having daily contact with legitimate producers looking for help with their film or TV projects.  These are sometimes industry names – looking for fast access to a pro scriptwriter – like any other service – they look online when in a hurry – and my website is a better showcase for my work than the badly organised online presence of various lit agencies, whose websites are often difficult to navigate and confusing. Some UK agent websites don’t even feature the contact details of individual writers agents! – No wonder I get lots of work.

There was a certain amount of uncertainty when I started this website and began working for myself without the backing of a literary agent.  Initially, the website produced some good work, but it took time to grow and develop and I had to learn how to handle ‘clients’ and essentially become my own agent – negotiating deals, as well as delivering great screenplays and script work. Like any other freelance worker, it takes a while to work all this out, but I pride myself now on my professionalism.

The website as of today produces more than enough work to keep me employed full time as scriptwriter as well as producing work which I farm out to other screenwriting pros who work with me (without their lit agents knowing).

In the future, I expect the website will eventually produce enough work not just for me, but for many screenwriters – potentially enough work for four or five full-time professional scriptwriters – working on a range of projects – from script coverage, to rewrites, to fully fledged original commissions.  Producers like anyone else, use Google to find professionals to hire – the optimisation of this website means they end up here – and my streamlined process means you can hire a screenwriter quickly, on a standard contract,  without having to jump through hoops with a lit agent. It’s a service that works well for some.

So, this is about disruption, not done for any other than to satisfy demand – because the DEMAND is there and while UK lit agents turn away work, or turn their noses up at work that comes from an online search – this website will continue to mop up producers and directors who need a rewrite FAST, and done to a pro standard.

Just last month I turned a full rewrite around for a client in three weeks – from initial contact to delivery of second draft – THREE WEEKS. The client was very pleased, and the project is moving forward now (a fully funded feature film).  If the producer would have contacted a lit agent, they wouldn’t even have an initial deal / contact on the table yet – that would have killed the funding for the project.  With me, the rewrite was done and delivered in a time frame impossible to lit agent – and it meant their project moved forward.

So, this is digital disruption in action, SEO, optimisation, and getting screenwriting services in front of the people who need them – who have money to hire a scriptwriter – this might be a well known TV producer or an indie film producer just starting out – whoever they are, they need to move fast and need a screenwriter asap – and I offer that service, without baggage or distraction of going through a slow moving, antiquated literary agency.

I move at the speed of a digital agency not a literary agency. I offer scriptwriting work delivered in a swift and streamlined process. I remove the barriers and the gatekeepers – if the client has the money and a viable project – I move fast.
