Award Winning Screenwriter and Script Consultant for hire

Well, this a little blogpost to blow my own trumpet as an award winning script writer for hire  and UK script consultant.

There are lots of people popping up on the internet offering script reporting services – all fine and dandy by me. But, how much experience as either a script writer or a script consultant do these people have?

Sure, there are a few people with experience on the UK soaps (although usually not as an actual script writer) and there are a few people with experience as producers (again, neither script writers nor script consultants). That’s all fine. I’m sure they have good advice to offer.

There are a few people with a bit of experience in the industry (but not as script writers, script consultants or anything to do with actual screenwriting).  There are also professional script readers – probably good at pointing out typos – but not very good at actually helping screenwriters fix ailing scripts.

So here for the record is a partial list of my credits as a scriptwriter on the IMDb

The IMDb isn’t massively accurate. For the record I have written a short film called Family Style which was broadcast on Channel Four. I wrote Emmerdale for two years with 11 episodes commissioned. I did a year on Eastenders with four episodes commissioned. Various episodes of Family Affairs and I storylined Hollyoaks for a year during which time period it tripled it’s viewing figures.

I’ve also worked on lots and lots of original features with ‘name’ directors and worked uncredited on a number of feature films (some award winning).

So, what about my own personal awards? Well, thanks again to the internet here’s a couple of them a BAFTA nomination – and it’s on the BAFTA website (can’t be faked). And my screenplay Sober won the Oscar Moore Screenwriting Prize back in 1999.

Trumpet blown – If you’re looking to hire an award winning script writer or script consultant, get in touch with me (details below).
