Countdown to ‘At the Mountains of Madness’ – directed by Matthew Cooper

This is just a quick update on the release of my second feature film as a director ‘At the Mountains of Madness’.

The film is complete and currently with the composer, who is working hard on the film’s spooky original score.

This is the second film, in a trilogy of micro budget horror films based on stories by H. P. Lovecraft (the first film, Markham was released last year).

‘At the Mountains of Madness’ was shot during the UK corona virus lockdown in 2021 and stars Tony Coughlan and Ashe Russell.

Like Markham, this film was a huge learning experience and had a new set of challenges, (the film is much more effects heavy) and shooting a film during lockdown would always be a tough ask.

I’m extremely pleased with the finished result, and feel technically it’s a big step up from Markham.

The third and final film of the trilogy ‘When the Earth Gives up the Dead’ will be shot later this year.

Keep checking back for updates. We’re hoping to release film by the end of May.
