Wow, it’s been my busiest year ever as a script consultant and script writer for hire. And as 2017 draws to a close I’m more than ready for a well deserved rest.
A number of projects I’ve worked on in 2017 are completed – including a 90 minute comedy drama, which has been shot completed and delivered to the client (this will only be seen by a select few and will never see a broadcaster).
I’ve completed the first part of a trilogy of screenplays for a producer which is now being shopped around various broadcasters and production companies (it had great feedback from Channel Four).
I’ve got one project from an American client which is currently with a big Hollywood producer/actress.
I’ve co-written a screenplay with a client which we’ve entered in a couple of high profile US script writing competitions. I’ve got high hopes for it and think it’s high concept enough to attract attention in Hollywood (we’ll find out in early 2018).
I’ve also helped a lot of writers this year with script consultant work, and my script reading service.
So, as Christmas chimes in – I’m putting work aside to enjoy the festive season. However, I’ll still answer emails and let interested parties know what my work schedule looks like in January. So please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
